North Kyle Wind Farm

Jones Bros was appointed as the principal contractor for the scheme in East Ayrshire, Scotland, which will have the capacity to power more than 160,000 households.

Works included:

• Constructing 49 reinforced concrete foundations, excavating, and backfilling for cabling
• Creating 24km of access tracks and upgrading a further 20km to allow for turbine and transformer delivery
• Enabling works which included construction of the SP Energy Networks (SPEN) substation platform and construction compound
• Installing more than 300,000m of 33kv cable and more than 100,000 of fibre cable
